Testing Purpose

The ISO-02 Detail Contrast Color test pattern is designed to evaluate four critical aspects of print and copy quality:

Color Accuracy

Tests the device's ability to reproduce colors faithfully and consistently across the entire color spectrum.

Detail Reproduction

Evaluates how well fine details, textures, and subtle elements are preserved in the output.

Contrast Range

Measures the device's ability to reproduce the full range from deep blacks to bright whites.

Resolution

Tests the sharpness and clarity of output, revealing how well the device renders fine lines and edges.

How to Use This Test Pattern

1

Download and Print

Download the test pattern at full resolution and print it at 100% scale (no scaling or fitting to page). Use the device's best quality settings for accurate results.

2

Visual Inspection

Examine the printed output under good lighting conditions. Compare the print to the original on-screen image, looking for color shifts, loss of detail, or contrast issues.

3

Test Multiple Copies

For copier testing, make copies of the printed test pattern and compare them to the original print. This reveals how well the device reproduces complex color documents.

4

Document Results

Note any defects, color inaccuracies, or quality issues. Compare results across different devices to benchmark performance objectively.
